Introduction: The New Zealand Society for Sustainability Engineering and Science

NZSSES is a Learned Society whose purpose is to advance sustainability engineering and science. Formed in 2003, NZSSES is a Technical Interest Group of the Institution of Professional Engineers of New Zealand (IPENZ) and an Affiliate Organisation of the Royal Society of New Zealand (RSNZ). News

NZSSES is very pleased to announce that our Chair, Dr Carol Boyle, has been appointed an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, The University of Auckland. NZSSES joins with Carol's many friends and engineering and sustainability colleagues around the world to congratulate her on this wonderful achievement.

The end of year Members' Evenings were successful events with the Annual General Meeting held on 4 December, prior to the end of year function. Another group gathered for dinner in Christchurch and enjoyed the chance to meet and talk.
